Let's give it what it needs most: clarity — defining what it is, why it needs to exist, and exactly how you will make it happen.
Without a clear frame, projects tend to wander — chasing distractions, losing focus, drifting from their original purpose — and often, stalling out entirely.
In this free workshop, you'll develop a scope statement: a single document that captures everything that matters about your project — your deliverables, finances, schedule, team, and overall vision. It's the secret weapon project managers use as an organizing structure, a communication tool, and a definitive reference for what a project actually is.
And once you've identified these dimensions, you'll recognize them everywhere: in proposals, contracts, business plans, grant applications.
Whether you're planning an album, a concert, a course curriculum, or a major career pivot, a well-crafted scope statement puts you in control of the details that matter most.
You'll leave with:
Come in with a dream. Leave with a clear head, a clear plan, and the confidence that you know exactly what you're building and how to build it.
This workshop is free — and it might be the most useful hour you spend on your project this year.

Publisher, Project Manager, and Creative Project Coach
Jonathan Feist has spent the past thirty years helping artists and professionals transform their lives and empower their careers through books, audio recordings, educational videos, online courses, and one-on-one creative project coaching. As editor-in-chief of Berklee Press, he helped more than 200 Berklee College of Music faculty members develop and bring their ideas to market.
Thousands of Berklee students have benefited from his online course Project Management for Musicians — and his book of the same name. Now, through his indie publishing company Orchard Fire Publishing, he helps authors of all types self-publish their works, free from the constraints of traditional corporate publishing.
A musician at heart, Jonathan leads the Gloucester Songwriters Circle and has released two albums of original songs as a singer/songwriter. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in composition from New England Conservatory of Music.
